An 84 year old named Nancy Guthrie went missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona on Sunday, February 1st. On Saturday, January 31st, she went to her daughter’s house, Annie Guthrie, to have dinner. She was dropped off at her house around 9:48 pm.
A ring camera at Nancy Guthrie’s home disconnected at 1:47 am, and software detected someone, or something, on a camera 25 minutes later. That Sunday morning, a friend called Guthrie’s family, telling them she hadn’t shown up for church. After police arrived at the home around 12:15 pm, they determined Nancy Guthrie was missing under “concerning” circumstances. Guthrie has limited mobility and relies on daily medication for her well-being. After officials noticed this was a serious case they sent out a flyer and described her as, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, brown hair, blue eyes, 150lbs. They went back that night to Guthrie’s home and looked for anything that could help this case make sense. After searching outside they discovered what looked to be drops of blood outside the front door. They did a DNA test for which was later confirmed to be Nancy Guthrie’s blood.
All three of Guthrie’s kids; Savannah, Annie, and Camron posted a video to try and reach the audience of the person who abducted their mom, the video said, “Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman. You are God’s precious daughter, Nancy. We believe and know that even in this valley. He is with you. Everyone is looking for you, mommy, everywhere. We will not rest, your children will not rest, until we are together again.”
A couple days later the detectives go back to the home and check more camera footage. They find a guy dressed in all black at the house, the morning she had gone missing. Detectives start realizing the clothes he was wearing and find the same gloves on the side of the road a couple blocks away and test for DNA. The result found no DNA. The most recent news we have is that all family related to Nancy Guthrie are clear for suspects and police have sent out a helicopter using a “signal sniffer” to find Nancy.
