Photographer, Jack Plant, captures sighting of the Spirit bear in the rainforest along the coast of British Columbia, Canada. They got the name because they are ghost-like creatures and their appearance is rare. Most of the people who live in the towns surrounding the rainforest have not seen one.
According to cnn.com, Plant went on a trip in 2014, to British Columbia, Canada and he saw his first Spirit bear. He even created a book about the creature when he went back to Canada recently and caught another sighting.
The Spirit bear species name is Kermode, although most Kermode bears are black. The bears that are white are not albino but they have a unique recessive gene. They are a subspecies of the American Black bear. Only about 100 of the Kermode bears are white which makes them the rarest population of bears.
