Pop star singer Justin Timberlake was arrested in June of 2024 in the Hamptons after officers realized Timberlake was visibly intoxicated. Nearly two years later, the bodycam footage was finally released, and viewers can see Timberlake refusing tests, struggling to answer questions, and was very nervous.
While Timberlake was put in the back of a cop car, Estee Stanley, one of Justin’s long-term friends, appears in the footage. Stanley was seen begging and asking if they could do anything to prevent his arrest, she even said, “Can you guys please do me a favor ‘cause you loved ‘Bye, bye, bye’ or like ‘Sexyback’?”
After Timberlake was released, he claimed he does not want any footage to be released of his arrest to the public, for it will “ruin his tour and reputation”. Timberlake filed a petition against the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and also to Robert Drake, who was the chief of the department. He also filed to prevent eight hours of footage from the night he was arrested. Timberlake argued that the footage provides very private information and it is a violation of his privacy. Timberlake’s lawyer claimed, “the officers made significant errors,” and said, “The most important fact to know about this case is that Justin was not intoxicated and should have not been arrested for DWI”. In court, the judge claimed that Timberlake reportedly had “glossy and bloodshot eyes” and a “strong odor of alcohol coming from him,” and he also did very poorly on the sobriety tests. When the legal fight over whether the footage should be private or public, Timberlake agreed to pay for fines, plead guilty, and serve 5-40 hours of community service.
His wife, Jessica Biel, was furious with the footage being released, though she remained supportive and has not spoken out to the public yet. The couple is also dealing with rumors about their “marriage problems,” and according to RadarOnline, Biel has claimed before that she is frustrated with Timberlake’s behavior.

Some say he was in a very “dark place” and was stressed over his reputation, acting, and fans due to the backlash he received from Britney Spears’s fans. A music insider who was privy to the information spoke out and said, “It’s not a secret. Everyone knows.” and also claimed, “He has a drinking problem, a lot of weed- but a major alcohol problem, and he’s been hiding and masking it for years”. It has been reported that Timberlake has not drunk since his DWI arrest in June of 2024 and that he has lost weight.
