In Hong Kong China, pandas have been at risk of becoming endangered. The pandas Mei Xiang, Tian Tian, and their baby Xiao Qi Ji are said to return to China by November 15th. The Giant Panda, which is an important endemic to China, is considered at risk. The pandas bring the U.S. and China together making this a big problem. The U.S will most likely blame China as well. Victor Gao, the vice president of the Center for China and Globalization in Beijing and chair professor at Soochow University said “the U.S. and China should continue the exchange of pandas no matter how bad their relationship is.” A bill was introduced last year that would “give freedom to the pandas and allow pandas born in the U.S. to stay in the U.S”.
