Music is an art that many people listen to because it calms them down or makes them happy but not many people look into why music does that to people.
Listening to music is inspiring and mesmerizing. Music releases dopamine to the brain and body. When people listen to music it takes over their emotions, if everyone was listening to the same thing the same emotion would be happening. Music creates a deeper connection than only relatability or simple emotions like sadness, madness, or happiness. Music has layers, upon layers that all contain completely different sounds and release different chemicals and feelings to your brain.
There’s plenty of instruments, different voices, random background noises, and vocal ranges with either the same person or different people that create different emotions. The effects of music sound repetitive but are deeper than what they seem, just like music itself. It enhances cognitive function, emotional resonance, improves physical well-being, and is therapeutic.
Music is essential and has existed since the times of the ancient Greeks. It’s been around for centuries and has changed enormously throughout generations. It seems to have lost it’s touch to people and some of the true beauty about it but continues to change so much in people’s lives and even teaches people by helping them feel and think deeper about things. Music is easy to underestimate but is a truly beautiful art.
