Teacher Recognition

First and foremost, congratulations to all of the seniors! I bet you are all wondering who are the top favorite teachers, based on our seniors’ answers to our Journalism poll. There are a lot of teachers who could take the crown for best teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Teachers like Mrs. Koblitz (9th grade math), Mrs. Altland (substitute), Mrs. Smith (substitute), Senora Kinneer (Spanish), Mrs. Riser (business and career skills), Mr. Hunt (statistics), Dr. Dietrich (principal), and many more got special shout outs that make them honorable mentions. However, three teachers rose to the top in terms of number of votes.

In third place, with 10 votes, we have Mrs. Grim, who is one of our math teachers at the high school – Good job, Mrs. Grim! Second place, with 11 votes, goes to Mrs. Altland, a long term substitute in our building – Congratulations! And the number one teacher this year with 15 votes goes to the great Mr. Newark! Way to go! He also happens to teach the favorite ranked class of the senior class – Psychology!

Now, this survey was just for fun so please don’t be mean to the other teachers for not being in the top three. We should respect all teachers, for they teach us things that no one else could teach us, like how to work hard, how to care, make friends, and most importantly, how to be the best “us” we can be. So from me and every other student, we want to say thank you for not giving up on us. We respect you for all you do. We will never forget you.
