Viral “Booktok” books, Binding 13 and Keeping 13, plan on making its way to Prime Video sometime in 2027. The 13 books are the first two books in the Boys of Tommen series. “This will be brought to life by the minds who created the Summer I Turned Pretty, One Day, and Twilight.” Katie states.
The books describe an “emotionally powerful story” of Johnny, a star rugby player who faces an injury that could ruin his career before it even starts, and Shannon, a shy girl who is attending a new school and comes from an abusive family situation.
As Binding 13 and Keeping 13 are the first two books in the Boys of Tommen series there is also Saving 6, Redeeming 6, Taming 7, and Releasing 10. Which will later on make its way to Prime. All the books follow a similar story line, two teens who come from two different worlds doing whatever it takes to save each other. These stories put in real world perspectives and show things people battle on a daily basis, like mental health, bullying, drug use, etc. who then become resilient and change for the better with the help of someone they meet. The stories allow people, who are suffering with these things, to know that they are not battling alone and to open up to someone and talk about their struggles.
As the announcement has sparked social media already, fans are overly excited to watch a teen love story. People are excited to see these characters come to life.
