Thanksgiving, a time that brings family, turkey, and Greenbean casserole ice cream? Ripleigh’s ice cream company is teaming with Hanover Foods to make a green bean casserole ice cream as part of their double dog dare series of flavors.
The ice cream will include cream of mushroom soup, fried onion curls, and black pepper, and green bean. The inspiration for the flavor was thanksgiving. Ripleigh wanted a way to celebrate the season.
Thoughts on this new ice cream flavor are mixed however. Julio Cruz, a senior at Spring Grove high says “sounds great”, while Gavin Johnson, another senior at Spring Grove high says“sounds disgusting, would never eat that”.
Ripleigh’s ice cream can be found at, 2 S 6th St, McSherrystown, PA 17344, For those willing to try the green bean casserole ice cream. It won’t be around forever however, the ice cream will last from the fifth till Nov. 29.
Ripleigh’s icecream also held a contest for school students to create a 6-7 flavor. 6-7 is a nonsensical term used by school students. It doesn’t mean anything, but its popularity led it to winning the 2025 word of the year.
Ripleigh’s wired icecream flavors will be accompanying many this Thanksgiving. It has been made clear that regular green bean casserole was not good enough. Thanks to Ripleigh’s ice cream we may have an entirely new way of eating green bean casserole this Thanksgiving.
