On Sept. 14, Joe Burrow got injured playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars and suffered a grade 2 turf toe injury. People speculate he could be out for the season.
He has been injured a lot over his career in the NFL. Right now, the Bengals have in their backup quarterback, Jake Browning. Joe had surgery on his toe back on Sept. 19 and requires a minimum 3-month recovery time. The Bengals are in serious trouble without him. They lost 0-7 to the Jets with their backup QB. They think Burrow is going to be back in week 17 to face the Arizona Cardinals. Burrow has been a crucial part of this offense he has over 11,000 yards throwing and 157 passing touchdowns over his career with the Bengals. His receiver Ja’marr Chase hasn’t been doing so well without Joe throwing the ball. Head coach Zac Taylor said, “He’s been good. I don’t have any updates. It’s gone as we had hoped.”
Joe was a top prospect back in high school and chose to go to Ohio State but was red shirted and barely got to play so he transferred to the LSU Tigers and won a national title with Ja’marr Chase and Justin Jefferson as his receivers. Hopefully this talented Quarterback can come back and save the Bengals from losing the last few games.
