Election Results

   On November 6th, 2018 the midterm election for political offices in the United States commenced. With historic turnout to the polls, Democrats took the House of Representatives. On the other hand, Republicans gained seats in the Senate, balancing out America’s political powers.

   This is an election of firsts, with a record number of women Congress , and the first head scarf-wearing Muslim on Congress as well. On the state level, America sees the first openly gay governor, and many states having African American governors for the first time as well.

   In Pennsylvania, Democrat Tom Wolf scored another term as governor, with Democrat Bob Casey being elected to the senate position.
