Donald Trump has imposed a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum imports into the United States. This is going to make steel and aluminum products that are being made rise in price.
The other Tariff’s that Trump imposed are against Mexico and Canada to stop illegal immigration and the uprising in fentanyl trade. Trump also set an additional 10% tariff on china imports. Trump’s order on Mexico states the drug traffickers and the country’s government endangers the national security of the United States. Trump then paused the tariffs on Mexico and Canada for 30 days. Canada launched a “Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force,” this is to combat organized crime, fentanyl, and money laundering, this being after the Canadian prime minister said they would list the Mexican cartels as terrorist groups. Mexico also took a similar course of action, helping the border enforcement
After going into office Trump has already taken action in his first week on the topics of Immigration, climate change, and oil exploration for medical research, also defining genders. Trump named Feb. 9, 2025 as Gulf of America day.
On Feb. 10, 2025, Trump signed an executive order that there would be no forced use of paper straws. This was put into place after Former President Joe Biden’s original mandate to have paper straws.
The Federal Executive Institute was created over 50 years ago by former President Lyndon B. Johnson witch was designed to provide training to bureaucrats. Over the past-half century the bureaucrat leadership has ground and entrenched the Washington D.C managerial class. In turn this has not benefited the American family. This Trump feels that the focus should be put back on the government of serving the tax payers and our constitution and therefore, he eliminated the Federal Institute.
