On Monday, April 28th, at 10:30am there was a massive, deadly pileup on I-81 between the Tremont City exit and High Ridge Park Road that turned into a very large and dangerous scene. Rescuers were not able to search through all the wreckage because of how much fire and smoke there was in the area. On Wednesday, the PA State Police were able to find out that 6 people were killed. 24 people were injured, about 80 vehicles were involved, and one portion of I-81 was closed for 40 hours.
