On Sep. 17, The U.S. President, Donald Trump, arrived in England to meet with Britain’s King Charles III. President Trump was hosted by King Charles III being the “the first president in modern-times to be hosted by a British monarch”, according to ABC News.
After landing in London, accompanied by his wife Melania, there were various protests and people were not happy that the king decided to host Trump. The protests consisted of pictures being displayed of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein side by side. Epstein was a convicted sex offender among other things. In 2019, he committed suicide in Metropolitan Correctional Center. A banner was laid across the front lawn of Windsor Castle and a vehicle was seen displaying a photo of Trump and Epstein. Later that day, the same activist group “Donkeys” projected a video of Trump and Epstein, according to Time.com.
In the video that was projected on Windsor Castle it shows Trump dancing and mugshots of both men. The video also shows the relationship between Epstein and Trump in the early 2000’s. After the projection was taken down four men were arrested. A 60 year old, a 36 year old, a 50 year old, and a 37 year old were arrested on suspicion and multiple other offenses. BBC.Com reports the men were also put on conditional bail. ABC News reported that Trump is the first president to have a carnage ride through Windsor.
This is Trump’s second term being the United States President and both times he was hosted by the royal family. In his first term he was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II and in his second term he was welcomed by King Charles III.
