The album WITHERED is coming out April 25 on all streaming platforms and has five tracks already confirmed and four released so far. Track 7, “Crashing,” track 10, “Where’d it go Wrong,” track 11, “What are you Waiting for,” and track 12, “One more Dance.” There’s a total of fourteen tracks on the album. d4vd has been streaming and recently streamed while making the music video which features popular streamers Jasontheween and Pokimane. Crashing features Kali Uchis, where they play the roles of a couple letting each other know that their love will stay strong no matter what gets in their way. d4vd first previewed “Where’d it go Wrong” in his official Discord server when he put a snippet of the outro. He then played the full song on one of the Faze members and popular streamers Plaqueboymax’s song wars stream, and on December 16, 2024, he released the song, starting the album rollout. d4vd performed a new unreleased country song for the album called Sky at Coachella 2025 on April 11, 2025.
In an interview with NME, d4vd told them that everything is very intentional and that he’s moving with purpose. He also talked about how his album changed many times saying the album was originally gonna be a pop album and then it changed to a R&B album, “I took a step back, started speed-dating a bunch of producers and going in with a bunch of famous people. I was trying to find a mainstream sound and it turned into a R&B project that didn’t feel authentic either, so I went back to the drawing board again. I probably scrapped at least 30 songs.” This album will definitely have different sounds throughout.
d4vd’s upcoming debut album promises to be a captivating blend of innovation and raw emotion. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a new listener WITHERED is a must listen.
