On April 8th, Spring Grove Track and Field celebrated their Senior Night at Papermaker Stadium. The senior festivities started at 3:15 PM and Spring Grove ran against Northeastern High School.
Spring Grove Track celebrated 10 of their graduating seniors with a special planned out night. Nicole Myers and her family decorated the stadium for the special event. They decorated the gate around the track with blue and white balloons, blue streamers, and provided the senior night baskets. The Spring Grove Track team purchased a banner that had every senior presented as a special gift to them.
I walked around the field and interviewed some seniors for their opinion on the special night. An anonymous senior said, “It was such a fun night to be shown their appreciation towards us for being on this team and moving on to the next level. You can tell the parents put so much effort into making tonight special.” Every senior was also presented with a special senior basket for them to enjoy. The basket included a Spring Grove Track Senior shirt with everyone’s name on the back, soft blankets, candy, and a water cooling towel.
The Boys won the Track meet, and the Girls lost. Celia Smith was also at the Track meet and she took pictures of the graduating seniors and took pictures of the athletes during the meet as well.
