On April 6, life-threatening weather conditions swept through multiple states. Cities affected were Memphis, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; Kentucky, Missouri, and tornado watches in Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia. On Wednesday, at least twenty people had passed due to the outbreak of severe weather. In Kentucky, a nine-year-old boy was swept away by floodwaters as he was walking to the bus stop. “Marty, the girls and I are saddened by the tragic deaths of two Georgian girls in Muscogee County today as a result of the severe weather.” This quote was said by Governor Brian Kemp, as he was sharing his sympathy for the loss of two girls who had passed. Several more people were killed in Southwestern Tennessee after a strong EF-3 tornado tore through one of the cities (Selemer). A sixteen-year-old firefighter in Missouri was reported dead due to a vehicle crash while responding to a water rescue. In Arkansas, the ADE management confirmed the state’s first death related to a storm. A 5-year-old child was found in a home in Southwest Little Rock. There is no other information about the incident.
