The crowded hallways of Spring Grove Area High School are full of a range of students, athletes and actors, band kids, and cheerleaders, each with their own lives hidden deep within and not noticeable from that quick passing glance. Hannah Lancaster is one of these students, unassuming from your first pass but living her own unique life way down deep.
During autumn, when the leaves crunch on the ground and the air smells faintly of pumpkin and cinnamon, Lancaster can be found on the sidelines of the football field. PomPoms in hand and a bow in her hair, she foils all her energy into cheering for the Spring Grove team. The bus rides to and from the games are her favorite part, as she gets to enjoy time and be silly with her teammates.
As fall changes to winter and the trees begin to undress, Lancaster exchanges her blue and white uniform for a swimsuit as she takes her place on the Spring Grove swim team along with her older brothers. She recalls a time this past season when her brother Eli won his relay race and their team, therefore, scored a win by only one point!
During this time of cold snow as well, Lancaster participates in both the musical and the one acts here at SGAHS. She again enjoys getting to mess around and hang out with her friends during rehearsals.
In the future, she hopes to attend cosmetology school in the city of Baltimore, MD and take courses at HACC to achieve her associates degree in business.
Hannah Lancaster is just one of the many amazing students that attend Spring Grove Area High School and just one with her own life and persona outside the classroom. She is an exemplary achiever and will go onto do great things, just like many others at Spring Grove Area High School.
