This year was the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, the Grammys is to award singers with outstanding music. The first Grammys was in held in 1959. There are so many people that go to the Grammys, but people who get invited to go are only nominees, special guests, and voting members, and even as a member it’s very difficult to get in. Sabrina Carpenter was the first Grammy award winner in 2025, taking home the “Best Pop Solo” for her song “Espresso.” Sabrina also won the “Best Pop Vocal” for her album for “Short N’ Sweet”. Beyoncé won the Album of the Year for 2025; she won for her album called “Cowboy Carter.” Beyoncé won a total of three Grammys in 2025. This year the Grammys aimed to raise funds to support the wildfires in Los Angeles. They raised more than $120 million. Kendrick Lamar won the “Song of the year” with his song “Not Like Us”, and they also awarded him with the “Best Rap Performance,” “Best Rap Song,” “Best Music Video,” and “Record of the Year”. The youngest Grammy award winner went to LeAnn Rimes; she was only 14 years old. This year not a lot of people liked the Grammys because they thought some other singers should have been nominated, for example Billie Eilish. A lot of people wanted Billie to win over someone else. The four most important categories for the Grammys are “Album of the Year”, “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, and “Best New Artist”. The Grammys stand for an homage to the gramophone and its revolutionary impact on the music industry. Over 13,00 people are set to attend the Grammys, and a crew of more than 3,500 people have been working behind the curtains to prepare the electric performance.
