When the clock hits midnight on December 31 millions of people around the world pledge to make the new year better than the last, with the most common resolution which is to lose weight / lead a healthier life. The reason why this losing weight might be a common resolution is because New Year symbolizes a crash start. For some reason it’s encouraging people to make positive changes in their life. Now, there is no actual reason why it’s the most common resolution but according to ACE Physical Therapy there is a way to keep this resolution. They said that the reason people give up so easily is because it takes a lot of work, and a lot of people want the easy way to lose. weight/get a healthier life, but they can’t give so they give some points. One of the points is to be realistic, which some of us need to be. What they mean about being realistic is to not do a workout that is for someone that has been going to gym for 10+ years, instead do a beginner workout at the start then start working your way up. Another way to be realistic is to set a goal and a schedule. Start off by going to the gym 2-3 times per work and also have a goal like home exercise 1-2 days per week. If you have not been in the gym for a long time then DON’T start going everyday or you will hurt yourself.
