Many of these are different forms of cyber bullying. A quote that I found says “ Spread love, not hate , let’s make kindness our trait.” This quote can be inspiring to many people who want to help cyberbullying to stop. Some ways you can avoid cyber bullying or to help make it stop is either to block them off of all social media platforms or you can tell a trusted adult. Cyber bullying can take place on every social media platform, including apps like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. Some other platforms are gaming platforms. Different ways we can support cyber bully victims are by encouraging them to speak up about their experiences with it.
Also we could assure them that seeking help is a sign of strength and not weakness. We can also listen and validate, meaning being there to listen can make a big difference. Letting them express their feelings without any judgment or interruption can make them feel like they have someone to talk to and letting them know that it’s okay to express those feelings. Some other ways we can prevent cyber bullying from happening are using the technology wisely, encourage the use of privacy settings on social media and other online platforms. Teach people how to block and report abusive users.
Overall cyber bullying is a persuasive issue in today’s digital age, where the internet can embolden individuals to harass, intimidate, and harm others. This form of bullying can take many shapes, from sending threatening messages and spreading false rumors to sharing private information and excluding from online groups. The impact on victims can be devastating, leading to emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and even physical symptoms like headaches and sleep disturbance.
