Since the game was released in 2011, Minecraft’s popular mob, the wolf, has always had the same gray design. Unlike ocelots, once the wolf was tamed it would keep its gray color. Recently, the team behind Minecraft made a post announcing nine new wolf species. Each will be found in nine different biomes. They also announced that the wolves will have 40 hearts instead of 20 and that the update will be coming to both computer and mobile versions of Minecraft. The original wolf will be called the Pale Wolf and will be found in the Taiga biome. Here are the new wolf varieties and where they can be found.
The Rusty Wolf can be found in the Jungle Vines biome.
The Spotted Wolf can be found in the Savanna Plateau biome.
The Black Wolf can be found in the Old Growth Pine Taiga biome.
The Striped Wolf can be found in the Woodlands Badlands biome.
The Snowy Wolf can be found in the Snowy Croves biome.
The Ashen Wolf can be found in the Snowy Taiga biome.
The Woods Wolf can be found in the Forest biome.
The Chestnut Wolf can be found in the Old Growth Spruce biome.
The fans of the game are very excited for this new update and the prospect of new dogs. Make sure to check out the Minecraft blog page for new updates and look into their most recent update that added new biomes.
