I interviewed 9 people to find out their opinion on which power drill they think is best. I found that most opinions were very similar, with the majority saying Milwaukee was better. The number of people that said Milwaukee was the best is 6/9 compared to the other 3 people who thought DeWalt or Craftsman was the better choice. I have come to find that some of the answers as to why they chose this brand as being the better option were very alike yet different at the same time. A couple examples of this is when the one small engine repair teacher said Milwaukee was better because, “Best impact at its price,” while Kenley said Milwaukee was better because, “it’s durable and reliable.” The 3 other people who thought Craftsman or DeWalt were the better choice said that they were better because they have, “Reasonable price with common attachments.” The other reasons said as to why these were the better choice was because their parents/legal guardians or even themselves use it and have experience with them.
The other question I asked people was which power drill brand they disliked compared to the others and the results of this question was once more similar. Most people thought that Ryobi came in with 5/9 people saying it’s the worst and Bosch with 4/9 claiming it to be the worst. Their reasoning for this was because they have never heard of them before, never worked with them before, or their past experiences with them were horrible. One person even said about how their drill that broke was that brand meaning that they aren’t as durable as the bigger brands such as DeWalt or Milwaukee. From this data I found that the opinion of which drill is better is based on preference and experience.
