This week, Melody and Emersyn walked around the school asking students what their favorite song or song genre were. The answers were all different and very unique.
Starting with kids with period 7 lunch, the main genre was rap and the artist names were Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and SZA. Students also said there favorite song as were “The Box” by Roddy Ricch, “Flashing Lights” by Kanye West, “500lbs” by Lil Tecca, and “Nightcrawler” by Travis Scott.
After interviewing kids for lunch, we went into the hallways and interviewed students in open study. The students in open study mostly said a mix of rap and country songs, the song artists were Lil Tecca, Travis Scott, and Drake. For country, it was Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and Tim McGraw. Some of their favorite songs that were said were “Watermelon Moonshine” by Lainey Wilson, “Rich Baby Daddy” by Drake, “You Proof” by Morgan Wallen, and “goosebumps” by Travis Scott.
Melody and Emersyn learned a lot about our school by asking this question. We learned that Spring Grove High School likes Rap and Country as their genres, and the top artist was Drake or Travis Scott for Rap, and for country it was Lainey Wilson and Morgan Wallen.
