One day back when I was in fourth grade, I was introduced to her. She had long blond messy hair in 2 pig tails braids and a very silly smile. We loved many of the same things and bonded almost instantly. Her name was Maddie, a girl who would end up being my best friend from then on out.
Something Maddie really loves is writing; she loves it so much she wants to be an author when she’s older. She’s always been an amazing writing since the first day I met her. Maddie said, “I like to write because it’s like an escape from what’s reality. You can write whatever you want, you have free range.” She says she will write romance and mystery stories.
Maddie also loves to read. We love taking trips to BAM or Barnes & Noble to look at all the books, and of course she has to add more books to her Christmas list. She says she loves reading because it brings her to a whole new place and she gets fully submersed in the plot of the story.
She has gone to Spring Grove all her life and has been in the same house since she was little. Maddie and I have talked about moving away when we’re older to somewhere not as boring.
Maddie and I both really love summer and the beach but her favorite beach is Chincoteague, Virginia. A calm beach with wild ponies that roam around. Chincoteague is like a second home to Maddie, she’s been going every summer since she was little.
Even after all these years, Maddie and I are still just as close. Sure we may have our ups and downs but in the end she’s my best friend.
