The movie starts off with a young Priscilla Beaulieu, 14, meeting Elvis Presley for the first time. Elvis was already on the come up, already a star. Priscilla and Elvis start talking and become best friends, and a crush. She was 14 and Elvis was 24. They first met in Germany, where Elvis is placed because he works for the military.
Priscilla is full of heartbreak, and bittersweet moments. This was a chance for Priscilla Presley to show what really went on in her Rockstar wife world. It was more than just a picture perfect lifestyle with a wedding and a child, it goes so much deeper than that. It shows some of the lowest points of Priscilla’s life; obeying a man and doing whatever he asks, and the abuse that came with it. Many people can relate, young women, older women, and anyone who’s experienced abuse or relied on someone for validation. This is the perfect movie for anyone to see.
