4 Spring Grove Students Make It To The 2019 PMEA District Jazz Festival

  On Jan 18 2019, nine students from Spring Grove Area High School attended the 2019 PMEA District 7 Jazz Festival Auditions. PMEA stands for Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, which is a group dedicated to promoting musicality throughout Pennsylvania.

  Of these nine students who auditioned, four students succeeded and will be at the 2019 PMEA District Jazz Festival March 15 and 16. These four students include Brendan Livelsberger on drums, Bailey Phillips singing alto, Peyton Rohrbaugh on guitar, and Anthony Wood on piano.

  The 2019 PMEA District Jazz Festival will be held at Big Spring High School, with the concert being held on Mar 16 2019. The concert will be at 2:00, and tickets cost eight dollars at the door.

  Mr Brenner and Ms Kirkpatrick encourage both students and staff: “if you see these students, please congratulate them on their awesome accomplishment.”
