The Spiny Horntail Dragonfly Was a new species discovered  earlier this year in Maharashtra,India.

The Horntail was discovered by an engineer named Hemant Ogale. The engineer was at a creek taking pictures of dragonflies in the Jambhulkond region which he loved to do in his spare time. Hemant found a Dragonfly.he didn’t ever realize that it was actually undiscovered 

The picture he took he sent to his partners who were a naturalist named Dattaprasad Sawant and a doctor who worked with King Edward Memorial Hospital. Sawant and the doctor both didn’t know what kind of species the Dragonfly was.The three men confused looked toward scientist for a little help determining the species.

Soon after this two scientists who worked at the National Centre for Biological Sciences. The scientist’s names were Shantanu Joshi and Krushnamegh Kunte. The  scientist examined the dragonfly species and didn’t know they found a new species.I bet this was probably the best moments in ogale career,I know it would be mine.
